Yes. Leave him in the carrier. Mickaboo has a sister group now called mickacoo. They often care for them in carriers. Elizabeth is expert. But I am also including coo's email add in sender list. Liz's addy is adopt one. They will help a lot

Subject: [Rescuesforparrots] Injured Dove

One of my kitties was very bad yesterday afternoon and caught a Dove (they feed at my outside bird feeders). I got it and have it in a carrier with some sunflower seeds and water. To be honest I did not think he would make it though the night, but he has and seems alert this morning. The problem is, he lost ALOT of feathers, all of his tail feathers for sure, not sure about flight feathers.

Now I don't know what to do. I may try and put him in a small cage so I can see if he will perch, but I don't want to stress him out. Any thoughts???
