How is Frankie today?  I'm praying for him.

And Elizabeth, *please* don't feel bad about this.  You do AMAZING things for these pigeons and doves.  Frankie would certainly have died at Lucky Dog without your intervention.  Dr. Sanders is a GREAT vet and Frankie is certainly receiving the best of care.  I'm glad Fanny is there with him too.

Much love,
Laurie W.

Please hold a good thought for Frankie the baby Iranian High Flyer.  He was fabulous at breakfast this morning but not right at lunch and when I got him to Dr. Sanders at Wildwood, he was found to have a perforated crop (resulting from my gavage feeding him).

He's had surgery and just got out half an hour ago. Dr. Sanders and his staff are hopeful that he will recover from this serious injury.  His sister Fanny is there keeping him company.

This has been a really hard one.  Usually, I'm finding them hurt and getting them help, not hurting them.

Please send all your good energy to little Frankie.
