Accounting for the final results is coming along with an announcement to come soon. In the meantime, while our memories are fresh, can you tell me what we did well (so we don't change it!) and what we could have done better (so we improve it next year) at next year’s Holiday Party? For example, in response to last year’s feedback, we:
- Stayed with the same location and timing
- Went without the public announcements for raffle and silent auction winners
- Arranged for credit card payments via Paypal
- Arranged an icebreaker activity (though I was pleased to see people were mingling fine without it!)
- Put out more donation jars
- Made sure all food was accompanied by ingredient lists
- Made drink pricing clearer
- Arranged for more tables and chairs for sit-down eating
- Scheduled the presentation earlier.
- Areas you might want to write about:
- Pre-party communications
- Location (Pleasanton, CA)
- The room and physical facility itself
- Parking arrangements
- Food
- Pricing
- The available activities
- Entertainment
- If you were a volunteer - what did, and didn't, work out for you
While there is no such thing as a "perfect party" which will meet everyone’s approval, I'm always interested in making what we have better. I'm also open to folks letting me know *now* they're open to volunteering for next year's event! :)
