Pets in California animal shelters are dangerously close to being cast back into the dark ages. Right now, the Hayden Bill (SB 1785) is in danger of being partially repealed by Governor Jerry Brown.
The Hayden Law was passed in 1998 to protect shelter animals and give them more chances (and TIME) to find new homes.
This bill, if it's passed will eliminate that protection.
Please call before April 11th (when they're voting again):
Senator Joe Simitian, Chair: (916) 651-4011
Senator Jean Fuller: (916) 651-4018
Senator Alan Lowenthal: (916) 651-4027
"Ask them not to repeal any parts of the Hayden Bill" (it's that simple, then give them your name & address, they will record it & you'll have helped).
Please take this simple step to protect our California shelter animals today!
