of king pigeons? MickaCoo LOVES Harvest Home because they are the first
(and so far the only) farm sanctuary in the Bay Area to step up and help
king pigeons (bred and sold as squab- poultry). Harvest Home adopted the
flock of king pigeons that were dumped like trash in Oakland early in

Hi all,
Yesterday I went to the Toast to the Turkeys event at Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary near Stockon, CA. It was a beautiful day, and all the animals look so happy to be living their lives out at such a beautiful place. We were served a delicious vegan meal, and then the turkeys were given their dinner while we "toasted" them. The best part was when the sanctuary manager, Christine, said "this year we doubled our attendance from last year..." and one of the big turkeys let out a big gobble! (I think they paid him to say that...).
