Am beyond pleased to hear this...they've been so focused on companion dogs/cats and farm animals and often made the decision too many times in the past to leave the companion/exotic birds (including pigeons/doves) out in the cold with no representation....like some poor, orphaned step-child... re: Wayne Pacelle, the president/CEO of The Humane Society of the US just started working with Mira Tweti on a campaign to help companion birds and he was EXTREMELY sweet when I took a pigeon to meet him at a book signing in April http://www.rescuereport.org/2011/04/betti-meets-president.html. I'd encourage everybody to read his book and, if you get a chance, take a bird to meet him at one of his book signings. Elizabeth
