Hello- Many folks have asked how they can express their thoughts on the possible ban on the sale of dogs, cats, small mammals and birds in SF with the Animal Control & Welfare Commissioners http://www.sfgov2.org/index.aspx?page=369via e-mail. The Commission does not have a staff (nor a Commission e-mail address) and its members don't publicize their personal e-mail addresses but Commissioner Philip Gerrie has invited me to forward emails that I receive to him. If you'd like to write a letter to the SF Animal Control & Welfare Commissioners about the ban they are considering recommending, please do so and send it to me. I will forward it to Commissioner Philip Gerrie's personal e-mail. Here's what he said when I asked what e-mail address I should refer people to: *"I feel uneasy about e-mail directed directly to me. ACC doesn't have much of a say in our decision making. I have already received some detailed replies from rescues and ACC volunteers. I don't decide on things based on popularity numbers. Forwarding I can handle.
