There are two opportunities on 10/1 to help MickaCoo get the word out about pigeons and doves' needs for adopters!

IN SAN JOSE- Prusch Family Farm’s Harvest Fair and Exposition on October 1, 11-4 pm (plus setup and cleanup).  The website with more detail is at http://www.pruschfarmpark.org/harvest-festival/ 

IN KENSINGTON- On Saturday, October 1st, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Kensington will Celebrate All Creatures
Great and Small at the Community Center, 59 Arlington Ave, Kensington CA. The public is
encouraged to bring all their pets for a blessing by the Rev. Dr. Tony Clark, D.V.M., M. Div.
There will be demonstrations by the El Cerrito K-9 Unit, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Kathy
Kear of Cause and Effect Dog Training will have six dogs behaving perfectly! Graham Quigley
will show us the holistic approach for your pet’s good health through acupressure and animal
communication. The Contra Costa Animal Care and Control agency will give amnesty for all
who register their pets and will provide information on health care and disaster preparedness;
the county veterinarian will give lowcost inoculations and microchips for dogs and cats. The
Arlington Café, Japanese Food by Wagaya, Catahoula Coffee and Sugar Cone will be selling
human food and The Barkerey will offer delicacies for pets.

There will be many local businesses selling unique items for our special friends, including
Robert Firestone, a local artist specializing in pet portraits. All proceeds will go to animal
rescue organizations, such as Rabbit Ears, Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, Home at Last Cat
Rescue, Milo Foundation, Friends of Greyhounds and many more. All rescue organizations
will have animals on display for adoption so bring your heart and offer a good home to a
helpless creature.
