Both Sherri and Janelle have called us re: the bird. Sherri said she is coming by altho we have not seen her as yet. We close at 5:30pm.
Meanwhile I went outside to look for the bird and he seems to not be in back anymore. Sherri wanted to come by anyway just to check. So hopefully she will.

The bird needs a safe place for the night and then a ride to WildCare (which we can help to find). Lindsay in Walnut Creek will not help pigeons (they are considered non-native species).

Yes, I understand. No one here can take him to the bird rescue place in Walnut Creek, which closes at 5pm. We close at 5:30pm and are usually short staffed - including today. Do you know if any of your contacts can drop by? Please have them call here first, if so: 510--238-6585.

If he gets help, he can likely be saved. If not, he probably won't make it through the night. (Too many cats, raccoons, owls, etc.)
