I know a lot of you are helping to get towels for SFACC and wanted to share
this with you!
Also- may I invite the SFACC Smalls Volunteers to Mickaboo's Bird Care
Classes? They are wonderful people and hungry for info about the birds.
(And/or would Mickaboo consider doing a special class for SFACC Smalls
Volunteers specifically about caring for and enriching the lives of the
birds in the shelter? I'd participate as a pigeon & dove trainer.)

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're staying dry today.
ACC will be closed to the public next Wednesday, December 15 for our staff
development day. You're all welcome to come volunteer, but everyone will
need to leave the building by 6:00 PM.
Our fabulous Friends of Animal Care & Control need some assistance with a
project on Friday, December 10. Please help if you can.
Kate Edwards is preparing a Friends holiday donation mailing, and will need
help putting labels and stamps on around 1000 envelopes. These letters are
asking for donations to Friends so that they can help our animals here at
ACC - a worthy cause if there ever was one. If you can help, please e-mail
Kate at: d4dr@aol.com Kate will be in the volunteer room starting at
3:00 PM, and plans to be here into the evening.
If any of you know of small neighborhood papers that can be approached for
ads and animal stories, can you let me know? We'd love to get our info into
them!
I want to say a big thanks to our team of Small Animal Volunteers! Over the
past year, they have built a solid team that maintains coverage in room 225
every day - amazing! When I was a small animal volunteer (many moons ago) -
it was a good week when there were a few volunteers stopping by on the
weekend. It's the first time in history we've had so much coverage for the
little guys - thank you!
We will be at Pet Food Express on Market St. on Sunday, December 19, from
11 AM to 5 PM, for a holiday mobile adoption event. If you would like to
help out, please let me know.
Thank you to everyone who helped us with procuring towels yesterday - you
guys rock! We've had a steady stream of towels coming in from individuals,
people ordering quantities to ship to us and companies dropping off boxes
full. Thank you!
Thank you all for everything you do! You make a HUGE difference.
