forgot to mention that I'm in digest mode, so emails are no good as I won't get them until late tomorrow sometime. My last resort is to take him to the SJ Shelter, where I was reminded that they will put him in with all the other birds - no good when we have to figure this guy is likely sick.
Anyone??? Help!

Hi all,
I'm in San Jose and just found PIJ with no top beak that was standing in the road under where many roost. He didn't flinch when cars drove by, so I swooped him up in a t-shirt and brought him home. He's currently on my back patio in a cage with water and mashed apricot, a little cat food, and mashed lefabers cake.
I can't keep him after 6am tomorrow as I'm headed off to run an event for two days. Can someone take him tonight??? anyone know if the shelter will take him?
Help. Please call. 650-644-8728 is my cell. Have left vm and SMS for elizabeth.
