Ok- just spoke to volunteer @ Wild Care. Mr. Blue Angel is on pain meds now, and will undergo surgery to clean and repair his lacerated crop. Krop?? We can check around noon or 1, to see how he did, but hopes are high since he is a nice healthy weight now. After surgery, will go home with specialist, and then return to their aviary for full recovery. Yeah! Assume the best!

I've been contacted by a woman, Laisan, who has found an injured pigeon that needs to get to either WildCare in San Rafael or Peninsula Humane Society in San Mateo ASAP.
She has the bird at her workplace (711 Van Ness at Turk) but doesn't have transportation to get the pigeon to the help it needs.
If the bird can get to wildlife rescue today, it has a chance.
