Your Call Could Make the Difference

Dear Elizabeth,

In November 2008, California voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition 2 (Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act) to ban battery cages and give egg-laying hens in the state enough room to spread their wings.

Governor Schwarzenegger has less than two weeks to sign legislation (Assembly Bill 1437) requiring all whole eggs sold in California to meet this standard.

Please make a brief, polite phone call today (during 9 a.m.-5 p.m. business hours) to Gov. Schwarzenegger at (916) 445-2841. You can say: "My name is [your name] and and I live in [your town]. Please sign A.B. 1437 to protect California consumers and improve animal welfare. Thank you." After you call, send a follow-up message.

Thanks for your help at this critical time, and for all you do for animals.
