I'm at SFACC and faced with 2 dilemmas. The first is these two baby king pigeons. They are emaciated and have respiratory infections. (Their unusual coloring is from them having been dyed pink.) If these two can get into foster care, they may pull through. The second dilemma is that MickaCoo is FULL! We need more adoptions. King Pij Outreach in Marin County this Saturday

There will be a story about king pij & MickaCoo in the Marin Independent Journal this Saturday and I will be staffing a table at the Marin Humane Society Adopt-a-Thon in Novato this Saturday 11-3. URGENT NEED for Pigeon Aviary/Loft Space (Please share & cross-post)

Hello- MickaCoo will be losing the wonderful foster loft that has been housing the rescued Persian High Flyers<http://www.rescuereport.org/2011/03/216-iranian-high-flyers-surrendered-to.…>at the end of this month (home is being sold) and we will need additional aviary/loft space to accommodate them. Of the original 216, we currently have 139 Persian High Flyers still to place (with some adoptions in process). We can house some in our existing foster aviaries but not all and so urgently need help to develop additional foster space and adopters. We have an unused aviary in Novato that could be transported and assembled if you or someone you know would be interested in helping with some of these birds (picture attached). Please help us to get the word out about these lovely birds and our urgent need for additional foster/adoptive homes. Hello- Berkeley Animal Care Services has contacted me about a white dove they've taken in that needs rescue. It is thin and not flying but is eating. Is there anybody that could foster this dove (and get it to an avian vet for a check up)? Doves are small and easy to care for and usually very sweet.
