Hello- One of MickaCoo's foster pigeons, Dolly, has revealed herself to be ill and needs help. She's located in Berkeley and needs a ride (along with her mate Ace) to Medical Center for Birds in Oakley or Dr. Sanders in Portola Valley or possibly Zoe in Alameda (if she's got any room available) ASAP. Temporary care (few weeks) needed for 2 doves and a lovebird in Vacaville

Hi All, I'm Katie--one of the budgie coordinators for Mickaboo and a fan of pigeons and doves (although I don't have any). I wanted to ask if any of you could help me out.A friend of mine is going through a rough patch and needs someone to temp-foster her birds for a few weeks. She has two doves named Precious and Poppy and a nice peachfaced lovebird boy named Peachy Pie. All three are currently located in Vacaville. If you've never met a lovebird, they are really funny and full of personality. And the boys are quite gentle. Peachy Pie has always been shy with me, but he is very loving with his owner, and I'm sure that if I (or any of you) got to spend a few days with him, he would warm up to them very quickly. I anticipate that Precious, Poppy, and Peachy Pie will only need to be fostered for a few weeks, starting within the next few days. Their owner loves her birds deeply and will want them back as soon as possible. If by some chance the situation lasts longer than a month, I'll be able to step in and help...I currently have 3 sets of birds in quarantine in my house right now and literally don't have space to add more, but I can plan ahead to make room for these three when my current quarantine birds are done. If you are not familiar with lovebirds, I can help with that. I have one of my own who is seven and a half, so I've been around the lovebird block a few times. Bay Area County Animal Control Services Cost Comparison for 2011 (survey by Ken White of Peninsula Humane Society)* The “cost per resident” has long been accepted as a meaningful measure within the animal control community. No efforts are made to adjust for various types or levels of services provided which can, in fact, vary greatly between communities and even within a single county if divided into several jurisdictions and served by more than one agency. No adjustments are made for nonprofit dollars used to supplement this spending, either by a private humane organization or a “friends of” auxiliary. This is a simple “how many government dollars per person” compilation. Large Donated Cage in Belmont Needs Transport & Storage (Or Use!)

Hello- MickaCoo has been offered the donation of a large cage (56" x 32" x 23) that I think would be great indoors for a pair of pigeons or doves. (The bar spacing is too wide for it to be safe outside without the addition of hardware mesh and I'm told the rust spots make it unsafe for hook bills.) I'm looking for help. Is there anyone that is willing to pick up and store this cage for MickaCoo? Or put it into use? It is free as a loan for fosters or $130 to purchase. Thank you! OT: flight cage offered in Cupertino

Hi, This is a white flight cage which sits on the ground. Half inch bar spacing. Dimensions are 40 inches tall, 17.5 inches deep and 59 inches long. Was used to house 2 collared doves which have been upgraded to a larger outdoor cage. It sits on the ground or could be used on a long counter top. Bar strength is fine for budgies, tiels and other smaller (non bar breaking) type parrots or doves. I would like $40 for it.
