UPDATE: Wildlife Rescue &/or Roofer help needed

I finally was able to fish out a starling. He's weak but I was able to get him to swallow 3 small earthworms and a little salty sugar water. I'm debating whether to bring him in and keep him on heat in a carrier or leave him outside in the pigeon coop. (It's too late in the day and he's too weak to release I think.) He's had a stressful day and I think will be happier out in the coop which is a familiar element in his landscape (though he's usually looking in rather than out). Think a good thought for this bird and refer me a good roof-climber if you know one, please. Wildlife Rescue &/or Roofer help needed

Hello- It appears that a feral pigeon has gotten trapped in a sort of tin duct that rises through my house and out through the roof. I *thought* it had mesh over the opening but I think I thought wrong. SFACC has been out and can't really help. I'm waiting on a call back from SF ROMP (recommended by WildCare). I believe that if someone had the ability to cut into the duct via access through a closet, we might be able to reach the bird. Or, if someone had the proper equipment and expertise to navigate the steep roof, we could perhaps help the trapped bird get out that way. Pigeon Assessment and Transport Help Needed

Hello- MickaCoo is being asked to help more pigeons than we have room for. There is one at SJACS, another in Cupertino at For the Birds, and several at SFACC. I need help with assessing these birds (are they robust and able to fly?) and then, for those that are, getting them transported to the Marin Humane Society who has very generously agreed to take them in (and who will provide them with a very excellent quality of shelter life until they get adopted- life as a flock in a large indoor/outdoor barnstall/yard). MickaCoo <http://www.mickacoo.org/> needs TWO crews (4 people) to help with Pigeon & Dove Promotion at the fun and wonderful SF Pet Pride Day<http://www.sfgov2.org/index.aspx?page=1323>on Sunday, 10/24. Please help me to staff a special MickaCoo table at the SFACC tent AND help with a pair of pigeons at the Mickaboo table as well! It is fun and easy. We'll need you there starting at 11:30 and you're off at 3 and there will be plenty of time to sneak in a little fun during your shift IF we get a couple of volunteers! This will be my fourth year and each year has been lots of fun with all kinds of pets in costumes (!) and gorgeous weather. So- who's in?
