But I looked at a house today where 5 pigeons had been abandoned. Looks like the old owners had a pigeon coop in the backyard (homing pigeons) and 5 got left behind. Poor things were looking for water and food. I went to Target and bought some food, water and containers to put in it and went back. Only 1 pigeon was there at that time, but the others will be back as they are family and live there. (pigeons mate for life and usually their kids stay unless someone removes them). Poor things. Do you know anyone who is a pigeon person?

I wanted to cross post this. Muttville is a senior dog rescue I volunteer with, and the things they do are absolutely amazing. I know we all here are daily voting pros, and I wanted to ask that you all take the time to vote at least once, or as much as you can. I adopted a senior dog, and spent 6 wonderful years with her before she passed. It'd be great to give back to other senior dogs who are still searching for their final home. Hi all :) I volunteer with Mickaboo heavily, but ever since meeting Elizabeth and her aviary, I have become very interested in pij as well. I had a ringneck dove growing up, who we later gave to a person with a ringneck dove aviary and he ended up finding a mate and being very happy there. I remember him being very sweet and idolized our cockatiel. I don't have the means to foster currently, but will definitely try to help when I can :) I have a Meyers (Baby), tuxedo cat (Deisel) and a Leopard Gecko (Loki). And just today I found a chihuahua running around the street! Great... all this in my tiny 10x10 room :-p Looking forward to working more with 'Coo!
