Pigeon Adopters Needed!!

Another Good Samaritan just rescued a starving (and apparently suicidal) king pigeon from the middle of a busy downtown SF street. MickaCoo cannot help this king (nor the baby at SFACC nor the Berkeley ACC-rescued king pij) until we get some pigeons placed in forever homes. We have 78 (!!!) in foster care and the small MickaCoo team and system CANNOT support any more fosters. (I thought 50 was scary full!) So- please give some thought to opening your home and heart to a sweet pair of pigeons. They can live in your home in a large dog kennel-cage and then mingle happily with the family while wearing their pants. They are smart, sweet, easy going, low-maintenance and quick to learn family routines. Or of course you can create a beautiful aviary outside and adopt a flock. PLEASE help MickaCoo to find *adopters* for some pigeons. Attached is a picture of special needs and bonded homers Joey (flightless) & Sunny (feet are slightly deformed) enjoying a bath together (pij are VERY romantic). Neither is able to thrive in an aviary and they would do best as pets. They are adorable. And there are of course many more- Peppermint & Sparkle, Rascal & Derby, Teddy & Chase, Miles & Macy, Tina & Tony and and and! Inexpensive source for fake dove eggs (small parrot or cockatiel size OK)

Hello- I'm a little scandalized at the prices folks want to charge for small (1"), white fake eggs for doves. I'm used to paying about $4 for a dozen lovely wooden ones for pigeons and the cost for fake dove eggs is often $1 or more per egg! Do you have a good online source of inexpensive, 1" fake eggs? Super Special Couple of King Pigeons Available for Adoption

Many of you remember the story of Peppermint- the poor, pitiful baby king pigeon that was going to be euthanized if MickaCoo didn't take him in. Well, we did and he's grown into a big, strong handsome man bird and, after a rocky affair with an older pigeon woman named Dee Dee Detroit (a MickaCougar), he has settled into a happy, healthy pij marriage with Sparkle! Both Peppermint and Sparkle are used to people and dogs and they would make an AWESOME pair of indoor or aviary birds for a lucky family. Peppermint is quite the pro at wearing pants and Sparkle- well, she'd LOVE to go shopping for some, I'm sure! Other amazing facts- Sparkle has laid the biggest pij egg I've ever seen AND she has two different color eyes. So, c'mon folks! Let's find Peppermint and Sparkle the wonderful forever home they deserve!
