To counter the misinformational claims that Mickaboo does not work with pet
stores or shelters, I'm thinking that we should put together press releases
detailing these collaborations. For example, we create a release entitled
"Mickaboo extends its grooming clinic schedule at For Other Living Things."
This would give us a hook to detail our relationship with FOLT and other pet
stores. Likewise, a "Mickaboo participates in HSSV adoption fair" press
release (for example) would give us a place to provide details about a few
of our relationships with shelters.
These may seem like pretty softball topics - perhaps they are -- but
corporate America uses press releases as marketing vehicles all the time.
These would let more people know what we do, as some people are more likely
to read a press release than other forms of communication. And they wouldn't
have to mention the proposed SF ban or any other legislation at all so they
wouldn't be pushing anyone's buttons.
I know that Patti Blau is on vacation and I might just draft up a few such
releases myself to see what you all think. Comments?
