Re: [Media-advisors] Fwd: SF Animal Control & Welfare Comm. may recommend pet adoption only tonight at City Hall

Philip said they sent our 72-hr. notice of the agenda, enough time for some pet store and breeder folks to attend but not to mobilize their customer/pet owner troops, who were out in full force last time all bedecked in campaign buttons. That's why I was surprised the meeting yesterday ended so early. My only experience with ACWC meetings had been the ones last summer, which went on forever, so I was expecting a protracted slugfest. -----Original Message-----

Were the pet store owners and PIJAC there? I doubt that the concession allowing small breeder sales mollified them very much, if at all.
