An estimated 90% of all pet birds - from parakeets to macaws - are living in cages that are too small for them. 1 in 10 pet birds feather plucks, an aberrant and painful behavior never seen in wild parrots. Smaller people don't live in smaller houses and smaller birds shouldn't live in smaller cages. All pet birds, regardless of their size, need to be in the largest space possible.
