I received an amazon today that was surrendered by an older couple that rescues birds. Carol Stanley gave them one of her African greys that was hatched with a vertebrae missing in its neck. They are big fans of Carol and said she breeds hyacinth macaws. I can see why a ban on bird sales might be unsettling when you are breeding and selling $10k birds. The bird they surrendered to Mickaboo came from a federal quarantine place near the Mexican border three years ago and had no connection to Carol. Apparently they didn't consider Carol's place as one where unhappy birds can go. I didn't broach the subject since I didn't want them to consider it. I didn't tell them that Mickaboo has been at odds with Carol. Karen
