I hope the cats got out as well.
Apparently they did. This KCBS story shows an ACC officer carrying out a cat, and says, " Bill Tinker of Boyes Hot Springs turned over the cockatiel, parrot and cat to Sonoma County Animal Care and Control, after word spread about his plans to put down his pets." http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2011/05/20/sonoma-county-man-plans-mercy-ki lling-of-pets-ahead-of-rapture/ FYI, the news articles keep referring to a cockatiel and a parrot but they mean a larger cockatoo (umbrella?) and an Amazon parrot. As far as I know, no tiels were involved in this rescue. --VH

The bird on the news looked like a Moluccan. On Sat, May 21, 2011 at 12:13 AM, Vincent J. Hrovat <1217@vhrovat.org>wrote:
