Small world! I remember Jamie from the early 1980's running Spectrum bird shop on Fillmore (near Japan Town) in SF. As I would be coming in the door on a Saturday afternoon, he was usually sitting at the register with a young parrot on his shoulder, cigarette in one hand and a glass of beer in the other.
