      I would think it is better to take the lead now. If we wait, we'll end up

I agree, some of it should go into a PR: the question is, when and about
what? No doubt there soon will be blow back from the pet retailer/breeder
lobby; they'll be spinning this to the press before it gets anywhere with
the supes. Do we play offense, or set up to do defense, or maybe distract at
the flank with something like a PR on Mickaboo's continuing bird intake
moratorium and how much an ordinance like this would help our work?
