I just received confirmation that the birds are in the shelter. "Sonoma County Animal Control Director was out here herself at 7.pm." Also, the guy who was threatening to have them euthanized does have a support network of good people, which brought back (a little of) my faith in human nature. And I will profusely thank Marti Bryant, the neighbor who publicized this so well.
Whether we need or want to take these bird in – that is for the respective coordinators. : -)
