FYI, HF 589 died last week as the Iowa state senate ended its session without acting on it. Warning: the content accessed by the following link includes a graphic and disturbing picture (presumably the kind of thing that HF 589 does not want us to see!).

“With the failure of this bill, on the heels of the failure of New York's similar bill last Friday, every one of the four legislative attempts made to silence the documentation of the brutal realities of factory farms have failed this year.”

Need Action In Iowa --- HF 589

BIRD FOLKS...it is time to take action against the radical activists who are trying to misrepresent what happens on farms or animal enterprises.
Iowa has a bill that is in process in the legislature that needs people sending messages to their representatives. This will automatically be done for folks living in Iowa who sign in to the capwiz url noted next.

http://www.capwiz.com/naiatrust/issues/alert/?alertid=40413501&type=ST

This bill makes it illegal for radical animal rights activists to illegally enter animal enterprises, farms, breeding facilities, and make secret videos which they then edit and eventually take to authorities to complain about abuse issues which may or may not exist, since their purpose is to disrupt and shut down ALL animal activities. This bill does protect legitimate whistle blowers who are reporting actual abuse. Therefore, it is an important bill for the protection of responsible farmers and animal owners.

If you do not live in Iowa, you are not able to participate in this particular activity.
If you know anyone involved with birds or animals who does live in Iowa, please send them this message so they can respond.
