Just to clarify -
"Lies and Misstatements" wasn't meant as a title for the document. It was only a subject label for discussion.
I agree phrases such as "The Biggest Lie" and "Ridiculously False" are confrontational. Michelle had asked me to write something that responded to POPA's misrepresentations in a dispassionate voice, and those phrases do cross the line.
We are in a confrontation, however, and while I agree our truths are strong enough to stand on their own, I'm not sure taking an entirely "positive" tone and burying the fact that these points are rebuttals is what is wanted here and now. Mickaboo's integrity is being attacked, our practices misrepresented. It is appropriate (and sufficient) that we respond to these lies in a dignified way with fact-based arguments. But I believe we should *respond* and be clear about that. We have a tougher argument to make than our opponents because we're trying to overcome people's naïve preconceptions as well as to counter POPA's scare tactics and
