Sorry, I was out of town for a couple of days.

I just found out Friday who the PR person is who's responsible for the film.  I don't know them personally but I should be able to get some of this info out of her, and give her a sense of where we're coming from.

I’m not running with this, but it seems to me that the first thing that must happen for this to work is that we need to know what theaters will be running the movie in greater Bay and Sac’to areas. We would probably need to know this at least 3 weeks before opening night so that we’d have time to work with theater management to get their signoff and arrange logistics. And, we would need at least one local point person and some volunteers for each theater. I’m thinking two volunteers per screening, with volunteers taking shifts, so at least 4-6 volunteers per theater that we want to work.

Most movies don’t stay on the big screen for longer than 5-6 weeks anymore, and most taper down dramatically after their opening weekend. So we need to be ready on opening night or we will risk greatly diminishing returns on this effort.

Patty, do you know whose buttons to push and how to push them to find out where a movie will be playing in advance?
