Andy's Pet Shop has the following on their Facebook page: "Help! The 1963 Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds" is coming July 20. Andy's has promised pre-show bird-related entertainment for the early birds claiming front row seats. Show and Tell sort of thing; outdoors. It's your bird's chance to be a star! Looks, talent, or just having a bird-brain qualifies." http://www.sjdowntown.com/starlight.html It looks like the original "The Birds" is playing as a free movie-in-the-park event in SJ, and Lissa is leveraging this to get in a little publicity for Andy's on the "birds" theme. Has anyone talked to her about Mickaboo being a partner in this? We would probably not use it as a pulpit to talk about the similarities between the movie and real bird rescue, a-la Rio, but we could at least give away flyers, tell the stories of a few Mickaboo birds and get some non-strategic, hopefully non-stressful PR time at a casual event. (I'm guessing that it probably won't be too challenging to get a few volunteers who would be interested in working this.) Obviously, if Lissa wants to keep her activities as Andy's-only we should respect that, but I thought I would point this out in case there are any opportunities for us, with Lissa or otherwise.
