I think this is great and would love to see this link shared broadly on the Discussion Group, in the upcoming newsletter if possible, and on the public-facing webpage so that it is easy for people to see/share all of these articles.  All this positive PR helps to communicate what it is we do and why and it adds another level of validation to the experience.

Thank you SO much, Vinny!

I have changed and expanded Reading Room’s news/press area slightly, as follows:

-Changed the header from “Mickaboo in the News!” to “Press Room.”

-Added new article, about squab and featuring Mickacoo, that Elizabeth sent me.

- Added new sub-bullet, “Related Articles.” For now it has two entries, one the article from Minnesota that I mentioned a few days ago and the second is the article that I linked to in discuss list about how well the guy takes care of his ducks, etc. (it is, arguably, a bit of a stretch, but if nothing else is an enjoyable read and does reflect the kind of care and love that we give our birds).

- Added a “Press releases – coming soon” teaser.

Please let me know of your thoughts or concerns. My concern about the “Related Articles” is that we should be careful about posting articles about other rescues there. We don’t know when other organizations will get into PR trouble or will deviate from their mission to the point that our publicizing them is a liability rather than an asset to Mickaboo.  That being said, I think that the Minnesota Star-Tribune piece is strong and is more focused on the elements of bird rescue rather than on the other organization that it mentions.

Thanks.
