I am wondering whether we should send one of our documents –
perhaps the press release or the letter that Karen wrote to our fellow rescues –
to each of these media outlets that runs a softball/cutesy piece like this one.
Or we might want to customize a document for this kind of situation, something
with enough facts about the pet bird crisis that it hurts a little bit. We could
include a cover letter that says, “Thank you for covering this important topic;
we hope that you will take a moment to read about some of the real reasons
behind it,” or words to that effect,

Elephants?
Grim as I'm feeling these days, it struck me pretty funny
that Animal Company Rick is apparently for unleashed elephants on Market
Street.
