My first thought on this is what commitment are we requiring from the foster homes? I know we don't want to have dilettantes taking the birds for a week and returning them because they got their lesson. I suppose I should read our documents, but in the meantime, do we have a minimal time expectation for foster homes? Especially given how
long some birds are in foster care?

Thanks, Elizabeth. ?Foster First? is an interesting turn of phrase and an even more intriguing concept. I had not thought about it quite so formally, but you make me wonder if it could indeed become the slogan of a new PR campaign. It?s catchy, it could be marketed with real-life testimonials, videos, web postings and press releases. It?s the sort of thing that might appeal to parents. It could capture some of the energy and enthusiasm of "Rio" but steer moviegoers' naïve birdie-lust toward more constructive work, raise public awareness, and maybe help relieve the backlog of fosters and backup on intakes we and other rescues currently face. That would be Win Win and Win. Thoughts?
