Interesting stuff. I’ve heard a lot of people summarily write off the SF ban proposal as the product of an ultra-liberal political climate. Yet we see on PIJAC’s action page that similar legislation, either banning the sale of pets or increasing controls on stores that sell them, in Texas (two cities!), Ohio, Illinois, New York, Colorado . . .  none of which are known for their tree-hugging hippies.
