I'm on the fence. My experience at the Blessing of the Animals thing in SF a couple of years ago was that most people are there for the cats and dogs. It gets us a little publicity (assuming it's well-attended), but since we don't adopt animals out on the spot, i think the most we get is maybe a few applications afterwards. Not to discount that, but it's probably a lot of work for little return.
What if we were to accept applications on the spot so that we could follow up with people afterwards? Someone who could send an email to the PA afterwards to thank them for their application, to give them more info about the next step in taking a class, and give them that reminder that might get them to the website and looking at birds? One more thing for someone to do ... but if we did decide to do the event, it might make it a bit more "profitable" on teh backend? ~ Ailsa
