Hi! We have almost survived the current Macaw Madness but not quite. Huggy, a 16 year old Blue & Gold, doesn't have a foster home yet although I was able to find temporary places for his two house mates. This is the bird whose owner died last week and his mom is selling her house and moving out this weekend. She needs the birds gone soon so they can start major cleaning for open house. Shorty and Sarge are leaving this week. Is there anyone who will take Huggy? I have contacted the Peninsula Humane Society in San Mateo and persuaded them to take him HOWEVER we have to take one of their big birds so they can have room for Huggy's cage. So far that hasn't happened either. If anyone is able to provide short term housing for Huggy I would be so relieved. I just don't want to fail Huggy or his bereaved family, who is extremely grateful for Mickaboo's help right now. Please . . . .
