[Mickaboo Action] It's raining African Greys! Update

Hi everyone, Just wanted to give everyone an update on all the Greys that came in to Mickaboo this week. Gwin the CAG: Gwin is a 25 year old CAG that was owner surrendered and had been at the Peninsula Humane Society since November. Gwin has a preference for men, and PHS asked us this last week if we would be interested in taking him in to Mickaboo. Francie Waller picked up Gwin from Peninsula Humane Society on Friday and transported him up to Angela Allen who will be fostering him. Jackson the TAG: This lil' guy's previous caregiver had to surrender him due to terminal illness. Shannon Shewsbury and Bill Kennedy picked him up on Saturday and will be fostering him. Lou and "Babe" (not "Dave"): Oops! I made a mistake on poor Babe's name :-( I thought she was originally named "Dave", but in fact it is "Babe". These 2 CAGs are at the Marin Humane Society. Their previous caregiver passed away and the family surrendered them to MHS. These two have been plucking at themselves and on each other. Maggie Ruffo went to check in on them Friday and found that one of the technicians at MHS is interested in adopting them. She seems like she would be a great adopter and has a lot of bird experience. Plus, Lou and Babe really seem attached to her :-) so she is going through the application process right now of FTA. Thank you to all the foster parents of these guys and for everyone who helped transport! Susan Mini African Grey Adoption Co-Coordinator Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue smini@mickaboo.org
