[Mickaboo Action] More info about the Dusky

This was in another email I got about the Dusky. I'm not sure how they know he's a young bird, because even older conures are much like three year olds! :) He would make a great pet for someone that will live as long as he will, since he's so young. He is very much like a three year old. He requires constant attention. He can't be left alone as I believe he would get into a lot of trouble. I was told he doesn't like being ignored and if he is, he screams until he gets attention – unless he is put in another room. He bit me at first, but after being at Kim's house, he warmed up to us. He sat on our shoulders and tried nibbling on our hair and cheeks, ever so gently. At one point, he was on the floor playing under a thin cover with the kids. He walked across the carpet to me and stepped up without biting me. I already have a Cockatiel I adopted in December and I'm still trying to get him out of the cage and train him to step up. It's taki ng a lot of time and work. I cannot take another bird into the house so I was hoping Mickaboo could help find him, at least, a temporary home. The Conure is a great bird and would make someone very, very happy. He would do best with someone who is home most of the time. Sounds like he needs some work to learn to play by himself and to use his "indoor voice" (as I called it when my children were young), but he also sounds like a sweetie. Please do let me know if you can offer a foster home for this little guy. Thanks again, ~ Ailsa
