[Mickaboo Action] Long-term foster homes needed.

You know ... y'all can stop me sending out these pleas simply by offering to help out. How easy is that?! *grin* I just got the update below from Jennifer Erlichman about the members of the SF flock we've taken in. Currently they are all living with her. Please consider opening your heart and home to a cherryhead. Seriously folks, these birds are totally delightful beings. Cherryheads truly have to be one of the sweetest and most delightful conures, they're all done with their meds - and you'll get to live with a celebrity too. Who could say no to such a deal?! :) Please let me know if you can take one of these guys in. Jennifer, I, and the little feathered-butt you give a home to will all appreciate it! ~ Ailsa Jennifer sent: Willow and Ellis need to have their legs looked at on January 25th by Dr. F. Their meds are done. Willow is slowly getting less beaky, and will definitely tame down into a very nice pet. Ellis has gotten more beaky, but I've been handling him a lot, and he'll tame down quite easily too. Lombard is ready to go home to someone who can bring him back once more to Dr. F to check the wing one last time. He's going to need a lot of patience and attention to get tame. I'm hoping someone will want to spend that kind of time with him rather than just sticking him in a home where he's just going to remain in his cage and not have someone try to work on taming him. He seems. . . almost miserable right now. Geneva has gotten SuperTame(tm). Don't know how or when or why. She and Serge get along so well that I'm inclined to keep her as long as possible just so they both have a friend to hang out with. Ideal universe? Someone wants to take both these "not all there" birds on as a long-term care responsibility. I'm leaving to go to Vegas on March 5th, and would REALLY like to have this sorted out by then. Otherwise, I'll need temporary homes for a week for 5 conures.
