Hi! Several of you have offered to help and I am really grateful. Of course these are the wonderful foster homes who are already full of their own flock and other fosters but I guess they feel sorry for me and the incoming birds. My first book is going to be titled "The Upstairs Birds, The Downstairs Birds, The Garage Birds and Feathers Everywhere!" Will probably never get written because there is no time . A true bit of humor - several years ago I went to the doctor for my annual checkup and when she was thumping my knees with the rubber hammer, the Dr. asked if I was a surfer? I mean, come on, I am old with white hair and not even close to being athletic. So I said No and why do you ask. And she said because of the condition of your knees, they are callused and misshapen. She asked what caused that so I said I spend a lot of time on my knees and I guess she thought I was really pious and spent hours in prayer. Before she got the wrong impression I said I spend hours every day crawling around on a hard floor cleaning big bird cages. She didn't pursue that conversation probably because she didn't believe me. If it takes having you feel sorry for me to get more foster homes, be prepared for more stories . . . If you can help, please . . . Thanks.
