Hi All!
I didn't get even one response! Not even from someone who says "Sorry I can't help, but."
Now I have another problem - what do I do with these birds? No one wants to take a chance on them, but they are here in Mickaboo's care. I also have no available foster homes for any other amazons and macaws.
I know I am preaching to the choir but I'm really concerned because what is Mickaboo if not a good and safe network for needy birds. If anyone can reconsider, I will personally mentor you every step of the way with these feathered thugs . And who knows what we will find when we peel off layers of protective behavior - wanna find out, wanna be some troubled little bird's soft place to fall? Let me know - - - -

Subject: Amazon Foster Homes - HELP NOW
To: action@mickaboo.org
Hi All!
Mickaboo currently has at least three aggressive amazons in short term foster homes that need to be "gentled" - whispered to, sung to, read to, fed special foods and shown that humans can be trusted and can love and protect them. Mickaboo will provide large cages so they can exercise inside until they are ready to experience out of cage time. If I can move these birds to longer term foster homes where they get focused attention, it will free up space for other birds waiting to be surrendered.
Don't be afraid! These are not big alligators or mountain lions or bears - just little light weight bundles of feathers with attitude. These birds all have very entertaining personalities and deserve every chance we can give them. Please step up and offer to help just one of these guys. You will be thrilled at their progress.
Thanks.
