It looks like my foster home for Pierre the Dusky Conure isn't going to work out both because the Significant Other in the household doesn't like being bitten and because there may be allergy issues. The two issues are being worked on, but right now I'd really like to get another foster home lined up so that if Pierre does in fact need to move, I have somewhere to move her to. She's a Dusky Conure who was rehomed once in the past but had to come to Mickaboo due to illness in the mother of her last family. The daughter of her last family, who was nine, was able to handle Pierre and Pierre would lie on her back in the girl's hand, so the socialization is there - although near the end of her time there, Pierre didnt' get a lot of out-time. Sounds like the end of the honeymoon period can be a bit turbulent, but since she's otherwise well socialized I'd expect her to settle down again after that rough patch. Would anyone be able to take her in, if in fact her current foster home decides she has to go?
