[Mickaboo Action] 2-Congo African Greys looking for a foster home

Hello everyone, We received a call today from Marin Humane Society about 2 Congo African Greys that they would like for us bring to Mickaboo. It sounds like these two may be bonded, so they would be best for them to go together to the same foster home, but they will probably need to be placed in separate cages for now, as they have started feather plucking and one of the birds is plucking feathers from the other one. These 2 birds are named "Lou" and "Dave". Both were surrendered to the Humane Society, as their owner recently passed away. Lou is 7 years old and was bought from Petco as a baby. Dave, is supposedly a female, and was given to the previous owner by a neighbor who thought Lou and Dave could keep each other company. According to the family of the former deceased caregiver, both birds have been together for about 7 months. Both birds currently eat seed and veggies and have never seen a Vet. Kristine at the MHS says that both Greys are friendly and step up well, but that they are quite stressed in the shelter, and are plucking a lot. Maggie Ruffo will be going to check in on them Friday. If you are interested in fostering these two, please contact either myself or Holly Atwood. Thank you for considering this!
