To: action@mickaboo.org mailto:action@mickaboo.org, wildcrittergal@yahoo.com mailto:wildcrittergal@yahoo.com Received a call yesterday (referred by YC Animal Shelter) that a woman off of County Rd 102 (Woodland/Davis) has found a bird on her property and is having trouble catching. She attempted to catch him yesterday but was unsuccessful thinking she was hurting him. She has no cage but I have asked that she try again today as she almost had him toweled at one time. Bird is flying low to the ground and perching in a fig tree. He came down for a few pieces of apple and is making lots of noise. He's of med size (cockatiel size) beautiful blue in color, red beak, yellow eyes. Sounds like a ringneck? I am unavailable to help during the day and currently away from my list of local m/boo members phone numbers so If anyone in the area of Woodland/Davis can be of help please call me today for more information at (916) 371-1564 between 10am-3 otherwise I can be reached at home (916) 372-9171 Thanks! Kelly

The birds is, I believe, and Indian Ringneck. From their description of the last two days, he is gaining strength, as he is actually flying about now. I had a couple of mediocre shots at him, but failed. I stopped trying after he flew across Road 102 (and back) for fear of him getting smacked. I gave them my phone numbers, and assured them if they get a towel over him again, they will NOT hurt him and to call. Tom
