Hi! We have a White Front Amazon named "Marty" (see attached picture) who really needs a foster home. He is the smallest of the amazon species and makes a raspy contact call (like a strangled duck). He has been eating seeds prior to Mickaboo but is now doing well with the addition of soft foods too. In his foster home he will need to continue a conversion to pellets. He is also just learning what toys are for and enjoys chewing wood and ringing his bell. Not much is known about Marty except that he was kept in a poor environment without much human interaction. He does not step up. He seems curious and will come to the front of the cage to "look you in the eye", muttering softly and pinning his eyes with excitement. He seems to enjoy the nightly cover the cage ritual and sits under the cover making little cooing sounds. He has a Mickaboo cage with dimensions 24" x 24" x 56" with a playtop. Marty is one of the amazons currently living in my garage because we had so many intakes. If you can accommodate his cage you will enjoy experiencing a little amazon. Please help me move this little guy into a family setting where he can continue his socialization process. Thanks. Claudia Melteff Amazon/Macaw Adoption Coordinator Mickaboo (650) 583-1940
