You can try my friend Gayle Reece, the parrot nanny, at http://www.parrotnanny.com/. I am not sure if she'd drive out there, or if she could help by phone. A person who helps by phone is Pamela Clark in Oregon, she's wonderful: http://www.parrothouse.com/pamelaclark/pamclarkconsulting.html Maggie At 06:56 PM 12/23/06 -0800, you wrote:
Hi! I have been communicating with a family who has a Hans Macaw and a brand new baby. They do not believe they have done a good job with the little macaw, because he is nippy, and appears not to have any boundaries. Initially they wanted to surrender to Mickaboo but now are willing to work with the bird because they love him desperately (and of course their baby too). They are in the Marysville,Roseville,Sacto area. Can anyone recommmend a qualified bird behaviorist, who will not charge them an arm and a leg? Thanks.
