hi Sherry,
It is really important when sending out emails like this to say WHERE YOU ARE. Also, to describe what the birds look like as well as you can. For instance, are they fully feathered, are they naked, are they covered with fluff. What color are they? What do the parents look like. Ok, just had to get that off my chest...
Mom and Dad flying to the nest doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with the babies....if the babies won't stay in the nest it could be a predator, it could be other bird harassing. No way to know. Do not give them any food or water and keep cats and kids away, and dogs too, and wait for the wildlife rescue to call you back. If the adults are not coming to where you have them, then it's best to put the birds in the container in covered box with air holes and keep them in a quiet place until you hear from someone. With this heat they need to be out of the sun and kept cool.
I hope this helps. If they die, it could be nature's way - perhaps there is something wrong with them. I'm not saying you shouldn't help, but just keep that in mind.
Maggie

Does anyone have suggestions....
This morning I found that a baby fell out of its nest (probably last night), it was dead. This afternoon another of the babies had fallen out, so, I got the ladder out and put the little one back into the nest. Ten minutes or so later, the baby was on the ground again. We went through this ritual four more times. At this point, I figured that there must really be something wrong with the baby, other than just falling out. Then, just before leaving for work, I found that yet another baby had fallen out!
I have put both of the babies in a little flat Tupperware type container with paper on the porch -- both mom and dad have been flying to the nest making a lot of noise, which makes me think that there is not anything wrong with the babies.....
I have called wild life but have not heard back yet ( I do understand that they too are volunteers), but I am so very worried about loosing these 2!
Any ideas... please respond!!!
p.s. I have no idea as to what kind of bird... they are rather small, nest is made of mud...
Sherry
