Dr. Ferguson removed a leg from a budgie today and (in typical budgie fashion) the budgie will be ready to leave the hospital tomorrow. We are, therefore, looking for a foster home for Greta and her friend, Gretchen. These little girls were found in a back yard in Cupertino, one with a mangled leg. It is a tribute to the closeness of their bond that Gretchen stayed with Greta out in the wild after she was injured, during the process of being captured, and has stuck by her side during transport to a shelter and to Holly Street. We would like to keep them close to Greta's vet during her recovery -- so a foster home in the Bay Area would be very welcome. Please let me know if you can help with these two little ones.
