Does any one have any experience with JAW TETANUS? Please help. Below is a part of the email I received.
"My cockatiel developed a jaw tetanus which the vet had heard of but had
never seen, caused by bacterial toxins which inflame the jaws. The
internet said euthanize but the vet tried a different antibiotic and
tube feedings, physical therapy etc. She has been at the vets a week and the
vet thinks a week more, but I don't think I can see spending that much
money, the bill is already almost $1000. So I will bring her home
tomorrow and just hope that she can eat enough to keep alive. I have
never had so much trouble with birds before. "
