Well, the foster home I had lined up for Buster the Sun (turns out he's a Sun not Jenday) Conure fell through. This is me being brutally honest: he needs a home that doesn't share walls (no apartments or townhouses) because (in Dr. Ferguson's words) "his vocalization is excessive." Neighbours who are deaf or who blast their stereos constantly would work well too. ;) Buster is only 1 1/2 years old. He started to vocalize when his former family started ignoring him - apparently the novelty wore off and he want form excessive attention to none. He needs a home with other birds or with someone who is home a lot and who can work with him, teach him to amuse himself, teach him that yelling for attention gets him none but using his indoor voice will get him love and treats. He's currently at Holly Street and is ready to go into a foster home. Can anyone please take him in? Even short-term would be helpful ... I hate it when Mickaboo has to pay boarding fees for a healthy bird that's sitting at the vet. Thanks, ~ Ailsa Conure Coordinator Mickaboo Cockatiel Rescue Share your support of Mickaboo!
